07 Jun 2009 Billy Elliot, the British-born musical about a miner's son who wants to be a ballet dancer, and God of Carnage, Yasmina Reza's dark comedy about two couples who squabble over a playground incident involving their children, were named Best Musical and Best Play, respectively, at the 2009 Tony Awards June 7 at Radio City Music Hall.
